Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego

On the third Thursday of every month, the museum offers free admission to all visitors with extended hours through 8PM. Visitors can join a free, themed Gallery Guide-led tour beginning at 6 PM.

This is an opportunity to catch MCASD's two newest special exhibitions Celia Álvarez Muñoz: Breaking the Binding and Griselda Rosas: Yo te cuido.

We are excited to celebrate the launch of the full-color publication accompanying Celia Álvarez Muñoz's first museum retrospective. Join us for a talk with Álvarez Muñoz moderated by MCASD Assistant Curator Isabel Casso, the release of limited-edition shirts at The Shop, and the video premiere of The Place in Between by Brad V.A., scored by Matty Terrones. To further celebrate the art of storytelling, the San Diego-based independent bookstore Lang Books will be setting up a pop-up shop for zines and books.
