Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego

Sitings brought together a parallel body of work by four mid-career artists, each using a different approach in their large-scale, site-related environmental sculpture. The traveling exhibition consisted of two parts: a selection of drawings by each artist, that was seen at all exhibition venues, and a major commissioned project by one of the four artists that was seen at each: at the Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla (Alice Aycock); the High Museum of Art, Atlanta (Richard Fleischner); the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts (Mary Miss); the Tel Aviv Museum in Israel (Alice Aycock); and the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Denmark (George Trakas).
