Join us at Teen Night as MCASD’s Teen Art Collective (TAC) presents their end of year exhibition, Interconnections: The Relationships that Form US.
Hear TAC participants reflect on their pieces and their experience being part of the Collective. There will also be music by a local DJ and refreshments.
About the exhibition
On view in Axline Court from June 7 – 9, Interconnections features the work of a diverse group of 20 high school teens from across San Diego County!
Throughout the last ten months, TAC has explored how our identities are formed by what is around us and how we relate to people, places, ideas, and our ecosystems. Through the lens of Contemporary Art, they have developed their ideas and material vocabulary to create a body of work that is in conversation with each other and beyond.
Showcase dates are open to the public during our gallery hours, Thursday to Saturday from 11AM – 7PM and Sunday from 11AM – 5PM.
About TAC
MCASD invites 11th and 12th grade students from San Diego to join our teen program, Teen Art Collective (TAC). This is an opportunity for teens to meet for a year and learn about contemporary art, explore art collections, meet artists and art professionals, create art, and plan a museum exhibition.
