Intimacy in the Collective: The artists in For Dear Life provide intimate and thoughtful examinations into the vulnerability and preciousness of the human experience. Each piece gives us a personalized glimpse into the artist’s perspective and experience. However, For Dear Life works to contextualize the myth of the individual within social movements, community, and support systems. This tour works to explore these relationships by highlighting pieces by Carolyn Lazard, Ruby LaToya Frazier, Amalia Mesa-Bains, and Emory Douglas.
