Celebrating the closing of Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys with the whole family at Play Day on Free Second Sunday!  

This August 9, bring the family for a free, hands-on art adventure inspired by the works by Mickalene Thomas and Ebony Patterson included in Giants.

Art Activity: sparkly, mixed media hanging sculptures

Additional Programming:

• At 11AM, join a kid friendly tour exploring art from Giants
• From 11AM-2PM, enjoy music, cozy up in the book nook, and play freely on McGrath Terrace
• At 12:30PM, sing, listen, and laugh at Storytime with Ms. Katia, Librarian On the Go

*Museum admission is free from 11AM – 5PM for all visitors, with Play Day offerings happening between 11AM – 2PM. No RSVPs are required for Play Day admission.

Trae a toda la familia a disfrutar de una aventura artística gratuita e interactiva que celebra la clausura de la exposición Giants: Arte de la Colección Dean de Swizz Beatz y Alicia Keys. Inspirándonos en las obras de Mickalene Thomas y Ebony Patterson, únete a los educadores del MCASD para crear brillantes esculturas colgantes con técnicas mixtas. 

Disfruta de una visita guiada adaptada para niños, escucha cuentos y disfruta de un rincón de lectura 

• 11:00–2:00: Pásate y crea esculturas colgantes con técnica mixta en el Prebys Learning Center. 
• 11:00: Descubre el arte de la nueva exposición especial del MCASD Giants: Arte de la Colección Dean de Swizz Beats y Alicia Keys  
• 12:30: Canta, escucha y ríete en la hora del cuento con la Sra. Katia, bibliotecaria itinerante  
• 11:00–2:00: Disfruta de la música, acurrúcate en el rincón de lectura, y juega n en la terraza McGrath  

Play Day is a monthly event at the Museum designed for families to explore art together. Activities include special tours, hands-on projects, and at-your-own-pace guides. Centered at the Conrad Prebys Learning Center and extending into the galleries and terraces, each Play Day offers new and engaging ways to experience the artworks on display.
