About the artists

About Xica Soul

Xica Soul is a DJ and radio host based in Los Angeles, an uninhibited and boundless selector known for her genre-spanning, energetic sets that make a dance floor move.

She is a natural music communicator, manifesting vibrant synergies and diverse sounds in uniquely-crafted sets, born from her relentless fixation to dig for kaleidoscopic tracks that spark connection. It is part of Xica Soul’s ethos: to create a safe space for dancers of all backgrounds to express themselves and build community, both on and off the dance floor.

Since emerging from the San Francisco underground scene a decade ago, Xica Soul has become a force, locally and nationally. She’s appeared on lineups with legends Peanut Butter Wolf and J Rocc, as well as Motor City Drum Ensemble, Kim Ann Foxman, Lefto Early Bird, Ross From Friends, Nabihah Iqbal, and Jamie Tiller, playing her expertly curated DJ sets that span from sweet soul, downtempo, house, disco and boogie.

Xica Soul currently hosts a monthly radio show On & On via Hyde FM , and previously has been a resident on Worldwide FM, and guest DJ on Dublab, NTS, Vans Channel 66, Fault Radio, and The Lot Radio. Her taste and mixes pay homage to the roots of dance music globally, authenticity linking music to people and place.

About Bianca Lexis:

Local L.A. favorite, Bianca Lexis was born and raised in the city listening to the sounds of the FM station Hot92.3. She grew a passion for radio in college and later began to volunteer at dublab. Inheriting her dad's new wave records and immersing herself in LA’s underground dance music scene, she's proven herself to be an impressive selector with a keen ear in a short amount of time. Her versatile approach to finding music is echoed in her monthly show, Happy Hour, which produces some of her most eclectic recorded sets. She plays everything from synth pop and post-punk to house and disco. Outside the radio waves, you can catch her playing at her Standard DTLA residency or beloved late-night parties like Directory Service, Moony Habits and A Club Called Rhonda.
