Support young artists at the public opening of their showcase, featuring the San Diego School of Performing Art’s AP Art class and 10th grade Drawing and Painting class, The Bishop’s Digital Media classes, and High Tech High Mesa’s 12th grade Digital Art and Literature class
Through Extended School Partnership (ESP), MCASD Educators empower schools across San Diego to use the Museum as an extension of the classroom.
This semester, MCASD educators toured and taught in classrooms, examining with students how contemporary artists create conceptual works that represent San Diego stories, history, and heritage. The 157 works in the showcase explores our students' connections to our tri-national region.
The showcase in open from December 10, 2026 – January 18, 2027 during our gallery hours: Thursday – Saturday from 11AM – 7PM and Sunday from 11AM – 5PM.
Extended School Partnership (ESP) empowers 6th – 12th-grade teachers to use the Museum as an extension of the classroom. Students and teachers engage in creative thinking and cross-disciplinary learning by integrating contemporary art into curricula and using the Museum as a learning resource.
