The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego is committed to creating an inclusive environment and to accommodating the diverse needs of our audience.

Language Access

MCASD wall texts and object labels, as well as several printed materials, are available in both English and Spanish.

Visitors with Limited Mobility

All public areas of the Museum's La Jolla, 1001 Kettner, Joan and Irwin Jacobs Building, and David C. Copley Building, including all galleries, Museum Cafe, X Store, Edwards Garden Gallery, and restrooms are wheelchair accessible.

Elevators are available in all locations. Additionally, public transport to and from the Museum is wheelchair accessible. Please see the public transit page for further information.

Audio Access

SoundMate™ personal assistive listening devices are available for use during programs taking place in MCASD La Jolla's Sherwood Auditorium or Coast Room and in MCASD Downtown's Berglund Room when the program's audio is using the integrated Museum amplification systems. Visitors need to supply their own headphones with a 3.5mm mini plug (standard adapter on headphones used for portable audio players).
