My Blue Bottle Vase
Join us on Sunday February 12 for Prebys Play Day (PPD). Based out of Conrad Prebys Learning Center and sprawling into the galleries, we invite you to explore the work of artist Mildred Howard (American, born San Francisco, 1945) and celebrate Black History Month.
Activities include:
• Inspired by the work of Mildred Howard, come arrange colorful fabric flowers and stickers into a special blue vase to share with loved ones.
• Music by a local DJ, drop by for do-it-yourself community artworks and games
• Enjoy live painting by artist Rachel Rhone
• Paint delicious flower, bottle, and heart-shaped cookies made by cookie artist Brooke Bartolon
• At 11:00, move alongside dancers from Disco Riot
• At 12:30, listen to art-related stories, songs, and rhymes in Storytime with Ms.Katia from the La Jolla/Riford Library
Food offerings and transportation are available.
Museum admission is free from 10AM – 4PM for all visitors, with Prebys Play Day offerings happening between 10AM - 1PM.
