Join us on Friday, August 7 for an evening of music, art, and community! The night is headlined by Joe Kay, the globally recognized and visionary founder of Soulection, and features a lineup curated by cultural tastemaker and DJ, Sasha Marie

The evening will kick off with a lowrider showcase by Mr. Bizar at the front of the museum, where guests will be able to explore the cars during the entire event. In addition to live music, ArtLeadHer will present a special conversation between curator Mashonda Tifrere and Lisane Basquiat.

Goldie: Based out of San Diego, Goldie is a celebrated Vinyl-Only DJ and record store owner, known for her deep crates. Her all-vinyl ethos and energy have earned her slots at legendary venues from New York to L.A. Beyond the booth, she champions diversity in the music scene through collaborations with record labels, hospitality groups and programming for venues.

Speedy: DJ Speedy is a San Diego–based vinyl DJ whose sets are built on feeling before anything else. She believes music is one of the purest ways people can care for one another, and every record she plays is chosen with that in mind.

Her sound moves through soul, R&B, funk, disco, house and global grooves, always allowing the music to unfold naturally. Years of collecting records have taught her that the right song can hold a memory, change the energy of a room, or make strangers feel like they’ve known each other forever.

For DJ Speedy, every record is an offering. A chance to create a space where people can feel, connect, and remember that music has always been one of the simplest ways we love on each other.
