Visual and performing arts converge at MCASD Downtown’s after-hours offering: Downtown at Sundown. On the third Thursday of every month from 5 to 8 PM, enjoy free Museum admission, exhibition tours, music by The Roots Factory Art Collective, free entry at SDSU Downtown Gallery, drink specials at Stone Brewing Company and The Flight Path Wine Bar & Bistro, The Book Truck, a food truck, and more!

At this Downtown at Sundown, City Ballet of San Diego will perform excerpts from its upcoming "Romeo and Juliet" production which will be presented at Spreckels Theatre May 6-8.

For this Downtown at Sundown, SDSU Downtown Gallery will host performances by students in the SDSU Composition Laboratory and the ensemble SWARMIUS, directly inspired by the current exhibition Cathedrals: Jeff Ray. The collaboration is organized under the direction of Professor Joseph Waters, Ph.D., coordinator of Composition Studies (Acoustic & Electro-Acoustic) in the San Diego State University School of Music and Dance.
