Island Boy, Three DJs, and More at MCASD's eXit pARTy

Prepare for anything but the norm at the second event in MCASD's new eXit pARTy series. With hands-on activities, exhibition tours, a performance by artist Angela Jennings, specialty cocktails curated by Snake Oil Cocktail Company, and live music curated by A SHIP IN THE WOODS, MCASD's eXit pARTy offers new ways to engage with contemporary art.

Into music? Meet our eXit pARTy entertainment headliners, courtesy our friends at A SHIP IN THE WOODS.

Hailing from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Island Boy is transforming all of his Caribbean experience into sound, with lo-fi electronic instrumentals that conjure hot summer nights.

DJ Yaya Skinbyrd spins strictly vintage vinyl reggae, rocksteady, and ska mixed with early calypso from the late '50s through early '70s era, all heavily influenced by Jamaican rude boys.

DJ Ana Brown is a binational DJ, artist, activist, cultural event organizer, and radio host at Radio Pulso del Barrio--a community radio station in Barrio Logan. She resides in Tijuana where she interviews local artist and musicians.

DJ SkuTech spins everything from underground hip hop and Baltimore beats to dnb, breaks, reggae, dub, downtempo, funk, and '80s.

Tickets are FREE for MCASD Members and our 25 and younger X Set Members; $25 non-members. Members should bring their Membership cards and reserve tickets online in advance. The eXit pARTy is a 21+ only event.
